If your garden feels overwhelming in June, the decisions that caused it were made in March. Most gardens do not fail because people are lazy. They fail because nobody decided what goes in the ground, when, and what follows it. I come to your garden, look at what you actually have, and send you a written plan for the next season. You stop guessing, and you know what to do next. What happens Before the visit you fill out a short form and send me a few photos of your space, what you want to grow, and how much time you realistically have for the garden. Ten minutes, and it means we do not spend the visit on basics. During the hour I am in your garden I look at your light through the day, your soil, your water access, your beds or the space where beds could go, and how the whole thing fits your household. I will tell you what is working and what is not, and why. Within three business days you get a written plan: what to do now, what to prepare, what to plant, what needs feeding, what needs protection, and what you will harvest. It includes a simple sketch of your beds and the planting windows for your crops in our Seattle climate. You also get one follow-up email for anything that comes up while you work through it. What it costs $100 for the visit and the written plan. Seattle service area (Phinney Ridge and neighborhoods within about 25 miles). Travel beyond that is quoted before we book. The price goes to $175 on October 1. Anything booked before then is honored at $100, even if the visit happens later. Who this is for This works well if you want to grow food and you are willing to spend some time in your garden. Beginners with nothing but a patch of lawn, and people who already have beds that are not producing, both get a lot out of it. It is not the right fit if you want someone to come every week and do the gardening for you. I am happy to point you toward a maintenance gardener if that is what you need.
