Walk My Garden With Me

A no-pitch open house at my Seattle kitchen garden. Come see what's growing - and what isn't

Service Description

Most people have never actually stood in a working kitchen garden. They've seen Pinterest photos, watched a few reels, maybe tried a tomato plant on the patio that didn't make it. So when they think about growing their own food, it stays abstract - a "someday" idea. This tour fixes that. Once a month, I open my Seattle garden (Zone 9a, multiple raised beds, a greenhouse, and a lot of trial and error) and walk you through it in person. You'll see what's in the ground right now, what I planted last week, what failed last season, and what I'd do differently. No slideshow. No sales pitch. Just a real garden, in real conditions, with someone who's happy to answer your questions. Who this is for: - Anyone curious about growing their own food but not sure where to start - Home gardeners who want to compare notes on PNW conditions - Future clients exploring whether a custom kitchen garden is right for their yard - Neighbors, friends, plant people, and the gardening-curious What we'll cover (depending on the season): - What's planted, what's harvesting, what's coming next - How the beds are laid out and why - Soil, amendments, and what I've learned the hard way - Greenhouse setup and seed-starting workflow - Tools and systems I use to keep track of it all Bring questions. Bring a notebook if you want. Wear shoes that can handle a little dirt. If you decide afterward that you'd like help building a kitchen garden of your own, we can talk about that - but the tour itself is genuinely free, with no obligation. Tours run monthly and rotate through the seasons, so what you see in April is very different from what you'll see in August. Come once, come back later, bring a friend. Looking forward to hosting you. Jackie Palatino Garden Adventures
